How it works, custody & privacy

You pay per call. The server quotes the exact XRP for this prompt and model, with a destination tag and a signed quote. You confirm, your browser signs one XRP Payment for exactly that, and the server checks it before broadcasting it, then answers once it is validated (a few seconds).
Non-custodial. Your seed stays in this page's memory and is never stored or sent; only the signed payment leaves your browser. BSVKey cannot move, freeze, or reverse your funds.
The ledger keeps a reserve. An XRP account always keeps 1 XRP locked, so you can spend only what is above it, less a tiny network fee.
A signed receipt comes back. Each answer carries a receipt binding it to your payment, verifiable with @bsvkey/x402-bsv-client. Payments are real, irreversible, and public on the XRP Ledger. If the model fails after your payment settles, there is no automatic refund: email support@embryospace.com with the transaction ID.

What does a call cost?

The same USD price as on the BSV and USDC rails, converted to XRP at the moment you ask. The estimate under Pay & run is the exact amount you will be asked to confirm. Web search costs more because it adds a per-search fee and the search results the model reads.

Where does the XRP price come from?

The XRP Ledger itself: its XRP/RLUSD pool and order book. We use the lower of the two prices, so a bad read can only make a call cost slightly more, never less.

Why is some of my XRP not spendable?

Every XRP account keeps a 1 XRP reserve locked by the ledger. You can spend only what is above it, less a tiny network fee. The page shows your spendable amount after you load the wallet.

What is the destination tag?

A number that ties your payment to this one quote. The page fills it in for you; it is part of what the server checks before it broadcasts your payment.

Can I pay from the wallet that receives payments?

No. A wallet cannot pay itself on the XRP Ledger, so the page stops you before anything is signed. Use a different wallet.

How do I use this from an AI agent?

Call POST /v1/x402/xrp/chat/completions (the 402 response explains how to pay), or install the MCP server @bsvkey/inference-mcp and use its xrp_infer tool with an XRP seed.
